Helping Those Less Fortunate

During this time of crisis, it is even more important to support our neighbors in times of need. Again, I have been struck by the amazing care and concern in our community as we move through this pandemic as many community members share stories of neighbor helping neighbor in productive and innovative ways. We are Wisconsin Strong.

This pandemic has created the need for immediate and adaptive economic recovery for our community, and those around the state and nation. I understand the importance of a responsible and timely response and will work toward that support for our community families, businesses, and industries. For more than a decade I have been committed to the Neenah-Menasha Emergency Society, a 100+ year old volunteer organization that strives to prevent homelessness by providing assistance to those in need in our local community. Emergency management of essential resources will need to be prioritized in an efficient, fiscally responsible manner to support our most vulnerable residents.

Along with assisting in reasonable and responsible economic recovery policy for immediate needs, I will work to streamline existing assistance programs and to eliminate any abuse of state and federal assistance programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, and SHARES.
